Gigglesnort Hotel (more here, and the creator’s own site here.) Another Chicago children’s TV classic. Another I’ll never forget.
And? A high school friend’s father was one of the Bozos. He loved Monty Python nearly as much as I did. :)

Oh my! If only I recorded the shows that were popular in Toronto during my childhood…
As I look through the local TV Guide, it seems the quality and content of public TV has faded compared to the 80s. I remember for a better part of my childhood of watching the Polka Dot Door at 6pm weekdays, followed Tuesdays and Thursdays by Today’s Special, which had some location shots done at Simpsons (Which is now The Bay at Queen + Yonge, in the Simpson Tower). The Polka Dot Door has been replaced with small 5 clips to fit between programs, which is a disappointment.
One show I was not too fond of but got lots of airplay was The Elephant Show which was also filmed in the GTA in the 80s.
